GigaCrete

GigaCrete is a next generation ‘green’ building materials company with products that truly push the building envelope on performance and sustainability.  The Company is moving from research and development into commercialization of its mineral cement-based building products.  GigaCrete is an emerging market leader in the quest to innovate more durable and higher-performance construction products for builders, architects, and contractors.  The company is launching its first interior plaster finishing products in the 2nd quarter of 2008.

“Clean tech” or “green tech” is now a mainstream category of innovation that is changing the way we manufacture and the way we build.  As a category, it refers to any product or process that delivers value using limited or zero non-renewable resources and/or creates significantly less waste than conventional offerings.  The production of traditional Portland cement and the use of heavy aggregate fillers for conventional finished building products is a very carbon-intensive, energy-intensive and resource-draining process. Using advances in industrial and construction ecology, GigaCrete is applying green technology to push the industry ahead and create new standards.

Founded in 2005, GigaCrete’s corporate headquarters are located in Scottsdale, Arizona, a strong market for new construction products.  GigaLabs, the product research and development innovation center, is located close to GigaCrete’s prototype factory in Nevada.
