Is GigaCrete currently selling its PlasterMax range of products?
Yes! GigaCrete manufactures and sells PlasterMax and StuccoMax out of the Nevada factory.

How can I get my local building materials distributor to carry GigaCrete’s products?

What performance tests have been conducted on GigaCrete’s PlasterMax products?
GigaCrete has conducted many performance tests on its PlasterMax family of products. Intertek, one of the leading independent building materials testing companies in North America, and Air Quality Sciences have conducted all testing to ASTM and building code standards. Based on successful test results, PlasterMax, are listed products with Intertek under the SpecDirect national product directory and labeled with the Warnock Hersey Mark, North America’s most recognized product safety and performance mark for building products. In addition, PlasterMax was listed with the GreenGuard Environmental Institute in 2008 based on the product’s low VOC-emissions. PlasterMax products have been tested for compliance with the following:
- EPA, State of California, and CHPS (Collaborative for High Performance Schools) standards for VOC emissions and indoor air quality
- ASTM C587 Standard Specification for Gypsum Veneer Plaster
- ASTM E84 Test Method for Surface Burning Characteristics of Building Materials
- ASTM E136 Standard Test Method for Behavior of Materials in a Vertical Tube Furnace at 750°C (test method for noncombustible building materials)
-NFPA 286 Standard Methods of Fire Tests for Evaluating Contribution of Wall and Ceiling Interior Finish to Room Fire Growth

Do GigaCrete products require nationwide ICC building code approvals?
GigaCrete’s products meet and or comply with ICC building code requirements.
Do GigaCrete’s products contain Portland cement or silica sand ?
No. There is no Portland cement or silica sand in any of GigaCrete’s products. The company’s building materials are manufactured with mineral-based cements that offer performance and environmental advantages. The carbon footprint of GigaCrete products is about half that of Portland cement.
Are GigaCrete’s products cost competitive with other building materials?
Yes, especially our new released PlasterMax thin coat which replaced PlasterMax Base Coat and Finish Coat and IND. All of GigaCrete’s products are cost competitive when compared with material, labor, value propositions and performance values of other conventional building materials.
Do GigaCrete’s PlasterMax products have both residential and commercial applications?
Yes, GigaCrete’s PlasterMax products have single family residential, multi-family residential, commercial, industrial, government, and military applications even up to Ballistic requirements.
Is PlasterMax mixed and applied with conventional tools and equipment like plaster/stucco sprayers and hand trowels?
Yes, PlasterMax products are applied with the same tools and in the same manner as conventional plaster products.
Can PlasterMax products be applied in a variety of textures?
Yes, these products can be applied and finished in many textures – ranging from smooth, sponge finish “sanded” or heavier textured finishes including roller finishes applied rapidly with polyurethane texture roller sleeves over paint rollers.
Do PlasterMax products come in colors?
PlasterMax does not come in premanufactured colored versions yet. These products are a light beige natural color. However, professional installers can integrate powdered pigments to color these products and we are working with a pigment manufacturer to develop a color line.
When will GigaCrete be selling commercial quantities of the GigaCrete PanelSystem?
GigaCrete EPS based PanelSystems are now available and require our coatings on both sides.
Can GigaCrete be used for other things like roads, sidewalks, bridges, and foundations?
No! GigaCrete manufactures finishes for existing building materials such as ICF, SIP’s panels, Gypsum board, block walls and many other common wall substrates. The company will not be marketing or selling its products for “infrastructure” applications typical to the ready-mix concrete industry.
Can only specialized people such as contractors and trade specialists use GigaCrete products?
GigaCrete’s products can be applied by contractors and those in the trades with suitable application skills. The best results should be expected from professionals and trained product installers typically EIFS and Stucco installers and Plasterers. We are also training the drywall trades who are interested in learning the next generation methods of finishing ICF walls. Please contact us for more information.
